Second review, comin atcha real quick after the first.
On Tuesday I squatted like a gazillion times, and was seriously hungry. So, despite the rain, I dragged my boyfriend out to get an acai bowl at a brand new spot that opened a few weeks ago within walking distance of our place: Victoria's Health & Organic Bar!
There are a couple other Victoria's locations in Vancouver (one downtown and one in North Van), but I hadn't heard of them until I checked this place out online. They've got plenty of healthy supplements in stock, and a wicked coffee/smoothie/juice/acai bowl bar with a wider variety of options than I had been expecting. Bonus: since they've just opened, a bunch of their best servings are just $5 until the end of the month. I know - amazing.
They offer two different smoothie bowls: the Acai Bowl, and the Magical Chocolate Unicorn Bowl. I tried the Unicorn bowl (because, duh) and my man got the Acai bowl - primarily because it probably sounded tastier to him, secondarily so we could try both.

These bowls are ginormous, which is awesome. I was honestly worried that I wouldn't finish mine, but I ain't no quitter. And once I start a bowl, I can't stop. Their smoothie is a decent texture, if not a little grainy. What's really missing from these smoothies is that neither has banana blended into them. It leads the the acai bowl being more tart than sweet, and the unicorn bowl just lacking a little somethin'. Their toppings include cashews, coconut chips (umm, yum), almond butter, and gluten free granola. A+ crunchy toppings, but the granola doesn't hold it's texture for long, which was disappointing. The customer service here is fantastic, both baristas were incredibly sweet and accommodating. In short, I loved them. Banana rating: 8/10
Would I go back: Yes, for the unicorn bowl, and to try one of their juices. Also, they're the only more than decent acai bowl spot that's super close to me - it's pretty well guaranteed that I'll be a regular here in no time.
